2011 Scholarship Selections

The following students were each awarded $1,000 scholarship for 2011:

2012 Scholarship Program

RT Communications’ Scholarship program assists individuals interested in furthering their education by attending an accredited junior college, technical school, four-year college or university. The RT will offer up to six (6) $1000 scholarships to qualified students.

Selections for the Scholarship Awards will be based on these factors:

• Applicant has grades from high school and/or continuing college/technical school grades.
• Applicant demonstrates community involvement and/or other extracurricular activities. Exhibits leadership qualities.
• Applicant demonstrates that their education/activities facilitate a stated educational goal.
• Applicant has a financial need for the scholarship.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be a customer, a customer’s dependent or a dependent of an RT Communications’ employee.
• Applicants should be a graduating senior or have graduated from an accredited public, parochial or private high school.
• Applicants must be entering or be enrolled in an accredited junior college, technical school, four year college or university.

Procedure

• Applicant must complete, sign and return the application form to RT no later than March 19, 2012.
• Provide a copy of current transcript with cumulative grade point average and SAT/ACT scores, if available, or equivalent college or trade school transcript.
• Provide a one-page essay on how your education and/or extra-curricular activities have facilitated your educational goal.
• Provide a statement of financial need.
• Provide no more than two (2) letters of recommendation.
